Rum Soaked Raisins

Soaking raisins for an apple pear crostada. How long should they sit in the rum and should it be straight rum? I've seen many different recipes, some with added water or sugar. Looking for opinions! Thank you!!

  1. Don't need to add sugar or water. I warm the booze up and about 30 to 60 minutes is all that is needed for soaking. When they are nice and plump, they are ready to use.
