Pulled pork sandwich stand at Ferry bldg

The last time I visited SF, I went on Saturday and had a great pulled pork sandwich and also a grilled pork hock at one of the stands outside in the back. Also had some oysters at one of the stands. And there was a korean food stall as well.

Bringing family to SF for xmas. will Ferry bldg foodstands be open on christmas eve? or from Dec 31 to jan 2? Primarily looking to have the pork hock again.

Thanks.

The food stands are only there on Thursday and Saturday, and obviously not this coming Saturday. It sounds like what you had was actually the porchetta sandwich from Roli Roti (which also sometimes has pork hocks, but not always). It's roast pork, not pulled pork. Il Cane Rosso inside the Ferry Building often has porchetta on its menu.

WE're headed to SF on the 26th/Sunday and leaving the 30th/Thurs. Is the Thurs. market pretty good?

The Thursday market is much more for food stands and prepared food than as a farmers market. There's a good range of good food stands there: Roli Roti, 4505 Meats, with their great cheeseburger and sausages (and chiccarones), Hapa Ramen, Nomi, pizza, Scream Sorbet (best sorbet I've ever had), and other good options. I'm not sure how many stands will be there next Thursday, but I think that the market will be open.

Thanks alot. Since we'll be traveling, farmers market isn't as important this time.

Checked the website but did not see holdiay hours. Will Ferry Bldg and farmers market be open on Sat Jan 1? I know the malls are closed on Dec 25 but it looks like Westfield is open Jan 1 - so will the Ferry Bldg and farmers market be open? Thanks.

According to this, they're closed New Year's Day.

The market will be open on Thursday, but it's likely to be sparse:

The Ferry Plaza Farmers Market will be closed on the following holidays:
                Thursday, November 25 for Thanksgiving
                Saturday, December 25 for Christmas
Saturday, January 1 for New Year's Day
The market will be open all other Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, rain or shine.
                Happy Holidays!
