where can I find individual sized onion tarts?

Not the ones that are like pizza but the quiche like ones that are full of onion flavour? Downtown or Westside is preferable?

  1. I may have seen them in the new French Bakery on Arbutus St.

I called them and the gentleman who answered the phone said he has never made them here because there is no market for them. Sadly, he said that it was going to be a 99 percent chance I wouldn't find them in Vancouver and would probably have to go back to France in order to have them again.....I guess it's time to learn how to make them at home!:)

    2. Do you mean pissaladière with more of a pizza dough-like crust, Selena ?

Or more of a quiche-like tarte a l'oignon with deeper sides and requires milk/cream as part of the filling ?

I wonder if Urban Fare or Whole Foods (Broadway) might have them ?

The second :tarte a l'oignon....I have checked Whole Foods but not urban fare.....I wish we had an authentic patisserie/boulangerie here. I really do think it would do quite well in Vancouver....

      2. Does Pied à Terre do take away?

Dunno actually, but their tarte a l'oignon is kick-ass good.

Another worth asking is Cafe Salade de Fruits on W. 7th
