Figs

Does anyone know where I can buy fresf figs in Boston/North SHore? Got some in upstate NY 2 wks ago but the 8 placees I've tried here say they can';t be had.

Sunday, I got some at the WF in Cambridge...the one near Memorial Dr. on River St. I asked for them and they brought 3 cases out from the back and put them out on display.

I saw them at Russo's last week. They were fresh.

Hmmmm, wonder where they are coming from this time of year? Arax hasn't had them for months and they are pretty good at sourcing...

Yes, they had fresh black figs at Russo's as late as Sunday morning and I bet they still do.

Haven't seen figs at Arax in several months. They are essentially out of season just about everywhere as I mentioned above.

Also try Wilson Farm in Lexington. They may have some or may be able to order them for you (if it isn't too late?!?)

It's not North Shore, but depending on where you are and how far you'll drive, it may be useful to call Russo's in Watertown. I'm certain I saw them there on Sunday.
