Tips for Dining, Eating and Food Shopping South America, Central America and the Caribbean

Parrot Club, San Juan, PR

Passed La Bombonera but was too early to be hungry (we ate b-fast on the ship). As we were wending our way back much later we passed Parrot Club. Really liked to decor and there were a bunch of local businessmen eating at the bar and tables. I ordered the best Cuban sandwich I've ever had - billed as nuevo Cuban - fresh cooked ham, sliced pork roast, etc. I couldn't stop eating. Never had dinner as I was just stuffed! Loved it! If I'm ever in San Juan again it is a must do!

  1. It's a fun touristy sort of spot for sure..very colorful..we had a nice lunch as well. Nothing hugely memorable and too many other options I wish to try next time but a good choice for one of our first trips to OSJ. It was a good sign locals were in there...OSJ is a cool little place..

    1. We also had a great lunch at the Parrot Club during our day in port. The Cuban sandwich was good; we also ordered a platter that offered a taste of many items. I would recommend for adults; not a kid-friendly place.
