Yonge & Finch / North York Bakeries?

Hello,

Do you know of any great bakeries such as "My Market Bakery" in Kensington market around Yonge & Finch, North York area?

Just a couple blocks north of Steeles on the east side of Yonge st. is Nino Daversa Italian Bakery. Excellent pasteries and breads and has a hot table with awesome Italian food. At Bathurst and Steeles there's a couple of bakeries. Kiva's and Steeles Bakery in the Price Chopper plaza. Also very good.

Thank you, I thought I also saw an Italian bakery closer to Yonge & North York center, I'll make sure to check that one too once I'll move there. Bakers should really think of opening a place close to Yonge & Finch, there seems to be a need...

Aux Délices Café in Bayview Village has a good assortment of pastries.

Aux Delices Cafe carries mostly Rahier pastry. Yummy.

You have Rahier a little bit south (bayview & eglinton).
And the Bayview shopping centre (the fancy one) has some nice places inside it.

I've lived in that area for several years and I have to say that there's really a dearth of good bakeries around here. There's a Pusateri's that just opened at bayview village mall which supplies good breads. Otherwise, nothing else comes to mind

That's a pity, maybe it's a good opportunity to open a French style bakery there ;-)
