Calling Chandavkl ... "House of Mandarin Noodle" opens in Temple City

T'he former owners of Mandarin Noodle Deli on Las Tunas in Temple City have opened up a new place called "House of Mandarin Noodle" in the spot that used to be Susie's Kitchen.

Did not get to try the place, but the menu looks to be nearly identical, maybe with a few tweaks. So for fans of the old Mandarin Noodle Deli in Temple City, you now have a new home.

HOUSE OF MANDARIN NOODLE

Are they officially open? Saw your post and drove there last night (Sunday) around 8 p.m. and it was closed up.

They're definitely open now. Ironically. though, the adjoining supermarket seems to have gone out of business. You'd think that would be bad news for the restaurant, but not to worry--the place was full today. Guess their reputation is enough to carry them.

Market closing must be their (unannounced) plans for expansion.

Thanks for the heads up. This would be next to the Temple City Supermarket?

        Yes, and that donut shop.

Although considering it is simply a reincarnation and not a "new" restaurant in the truest sense, I'm not so sure there's an obligation to try it.

Different name=obligation to try. And no loss with Susie's Kitchen being gone.
