TODAY ONLY - Cuisinart Elite 12 cup food processor $119!!!
This sells for $250 everywhere, and the lowest I could find it was $200 after the 20% off at BB&B. Williams Sonoma has a one day sale on this at $149.99. They also give you a $10 store credit for every $50 you spend. Add in a large can or bottle of the liquid Barkeepers friend for $4.50 and you have this die cast metal processor for a song! The 16 cup one is $199.95 and you would get $40 back adding one other small item.
All you have to do is call, charge it, and then pick it up in the store, or get their $30 shipping deal with free shipping after that fee all year long.
REMEMBER TODAY ONLY!!!

Trust me, that discount has cost me more money over the years than I care to think of. It's a great side job (holiday customers notwithstanding). That Shun sale was hell on Earth. We didn't have the 6 inch chef knife in stock (except for a damaged floor model), and people were IRATE to say the least.

re: goodhealthgourmet
you're the sweetest.
I don't need one, but always love a bargain.
I would have bought it and waited for my Cuisinart [s] to break.
sounds like you got a winner GHG, happy for you and the others that now own this wonderful powerful machine.I know somewhere on here I posted about buying a MagiMix several months ago.
It was used [but I see no evidence of ever being used at all] and still in the box with all the attachments and instructions. When the employee lady went to put the box on the shelf, I was standing right next to her so I took it off said shelf immediatelly. What a great deal that was for me that day, being at right place at right time and for penny's on the dollar too. It does everything from soup to nuts to ice cream to infant delivery practically :-)))
But I will say that hands down the Cuisinart is more powerful and a stronger sturdier machine in my opinion.

For anyone who purchased the Elite I recommend trying the frozen banana "ice cream" recipe in the included book. Pretty darn impressive for a 2-3 ingredient dessert.

re: iyc_nyc
put 2 frozen bananas, cut into 1- or 2-inch pieces, into the bowl of the FP fitted with the large chopping blade. add 1/2 Tbsp honey, 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, 1 Tbsp coconut milk and a pinch of salt. cover, and pulse 10 times, using long pulses. scrape down the bowl, and then process for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
serve immediately, or transfer to a freezer-safe container, cover with plastic so the plastic is directly touching the "ice cream," seal, and freeze.

re: iyc_nyc
All the recipes for that machine are in a booklet that you can download. Lots of great ones! Here's the link.

If you have the 14 cup older Cuisinart that recipe booklet is also online under the Elite 14 cup.

i'm actually lusting after the 16-cup, but i'm concerned about the amount of storage space it might take up. it's pouring here in LA, the roads are flooded, and traffic is a mess. i can't bear the thought of heading out to a W-S store right now to make an assessment...arrghh! dare i take a chance on it?

re: DiningDiva
oh sure, rub it in ;) it's a MESS here!
i'm so torn, i want the 16-cup but i'm afraid it's too big, they don't have a 14-cup, and the 12-cup is too small. i just read a bunch of negative reviews of the 16-cup on the W-S website, and the complaints sounded like valid annoyances that i would hate as well, so i'm trying to use those to convince myself not to buy it :)

re: goodhealthgourmet
i got the 16 cup from w/s for my wife for christmas. until i got their mailer, i didn't even know the 16 cup was exclusive to them. even though our old 14 still works ok, i did a minor repair on the bowl, i knew she's been wanting it. now that it's being advertised on tv, she keeps saying, you know it's going to happen i just don't know when. obviously it will be sooner than she realizes. i hope it stands up to her standards.

re: ferret
A lot of reviewers complain about the elite on the WS web site - that the nesting bowls are a pain (e.g., you can't use the small ones w/o also using the large one, thereby defeating the point), that things get caught/fall into crevices, etc.
Any thoughts on this - just user error or do the positives offset any negatives?

re: iyc_nyc
I tend to be pretty fastidious when it comes to appliances like this. There's no real issue with the nesting bowls, they fight snugly and rinse easily. The cover has a flexible rubber seal that should be cleaned carefully but that's about it. 1-2 minutes of cleaning after each use is all it takes.

re: iyc_nyc
You have to look at the whole. The KA also needs to use the large bowl with the smaller ones. Before I got this I took apart and reassembled the one in WS and had no problem separating the bowls. They said it was mostly when they were wet.
There is no perfect machine. All in all the Elite has gotten great reviews with 4 or 4.5 stars out of 5. There are annoyances on any processor. The older Cuisinarts were a pain to use with everything having to be engaged, and the blade falling out, and it being hard to assemble with too many parts. The KA 760 has the have the food cut smaller as the pusher has to be about 1/2 down before the machine will engage and the 750 feed tube is really small requiring too much prep work to cut things to fit. All have their strengths and flaws!

re: davmar77
i've been really happy with my 12-cup KA performance-wise for the past 5 or so years. in fact, i prefer it over my original Cuisinart. but i was hearing good things about the updated Cuisinart, the 12-cup isn't big enough for me, and the KA started leaking during Thanksgiving, so i figured this was the perfect time and excuse to replace it :) i actually wanted the 14-cup since the 16 takes up so much precious cabinet space, but W-S doesn't carry it.
i'm sure she's going to be surprised and thrilled!

re: goodhealthgourmet
You can pay for it by phone and then look at it when the weather clears up. If it's not for you, just say you changed your mind and they will credit your card back that amount. Don't forget to add something small as it's $.05 short of the 4th $10 back. That way you don't need to take a chance.

re: blondelle

re: celeryroot
I asked if they had rain checks and they said yes, so I think you can maybe get them any time today. Doesn't hurt to call and ask. They are also open later than usual today. A few weeks back they had the 4 cup Cuisinart Elite for only $39.99.
Magiesmom, happy I could help. I'm not really sure I need it but couldn't resist the price. Now I have to find another deal to use the $30 on....LOL! The $10 GC back on each $50 spent there is good till 12/24. It works on a anything.
