Tenderloin of Beef - What to serve with it?

So I am having 18 people for Christmas Dinner and am planning on making Tenderloin of Beef. Any suggestions on sides - potato and veggies - to serve along with the beef?

I make roasted asparagus bundles wrapped in proscuitto. The asparagus is steamed quickly, bundles of 4 wrapped in proscuitto and sprinkled with breadcrumbs seasoned with garlic, cheese, parsley and lemon zest. You can find the recipe on napastyle.com/recipe. Simple, different and elegant.

When I do a tenderloin roast, I usually do tiny roasted potatoes, hashed brussel sprouts, and a mushroom/madeira pan sauce.

There's the old standby...the green bean casserole made with a can of soup and canned fried onions. Also a salad with Romaine rather non-nutritional iceberg lettuce. I made a salad with Romaine, radicchio, caramelized onion, home roasted red bell peppers, sliced stuffed green olives, celery seed, and red wine vinegar and extra virgin olive oil. This salad for a language class party. No tomatoes because, this time of year, store bought have no flavor.

If you happen to be of Italian heritage, some pasta dish needs to be included. In my case, I can do without the pasta. I miei antenati non erano italiani (My ancestors were not Italian). However, my wife's were from southern Italy, and it is impossible to have a holiday dinner without a pasta dish.

Buon Natale e buon anno nuovo! Mangiate bene!
