Mastering The Art Of French Cooking Volume 2

I just obtained theis book from the library to see the recipe for Julia's lemon tart with almonds (having given my copy of the book away years ago unfortunatel).

The recipe is included in the index but the recipes stop at Page 510 and the remaining pages include miscellaneous information.

The index refers the reader to page 645-646 - the book does not contain this page nor any others for the tarts in the index. No pages were removed from the book - they just are not there.

I am perplexed - does anyone know if this is a printing error for a cetain batch of latterly published books?

I second the motion! The recipe is on pages 646-647 of my copy, 1971 printing of 1961 copyright.

    2. The listings in the index at the end of Volume Two have two colors: those in red are reference to Volume 1 and black in Volume 2. The bottom of each page of the index states that. As noted from the above posters, the Lemon Tart is in red, therefore, in Volume 1.
