Does anyone have any recommendations for lunch in Orvieto?

There are quite a few well-reviewed trattorie in Orvieto. I had a very good lunch at Trattoria dell Orso and would recommend. Typical Umbrian fare including guinea hen and pastas with truffles, in season. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Have you searched Orvieto on this board? The subject comes up often. Trattoria La Palomba (closed Weds -- always say what day of the week you need recs for) is excellent, very rustic. We also like La Pergola (no relation to the one in Rome) and Trattoria Etrusca. At the high end, we like Giglio d'Oro. Maurizio, right across from the Duomo, is a standby, but not my favorite. There are lots. The town has tight SlowFood connections and the standard is very high.

Any thoughts about LaVolpe e l'Uva?
