Montclair, NJ Restaurant that can handle about 20 people, near the college

I just got a call from someone asking if I know of a place that can accomodate maybe 20 people TOMORROW. I know short notice, but if you know of a good restaurant, within 10 minutes or so of Montclair State, please advise. Looking for a pizza or burger type of place preferably, but any ideas are welcome.

Six Brothers Diner. Really. I think they even have small rooms downstairs that you might be able to use. And I suspect you'll get better food than you will at Alexus; my one visit there was enough for me! Bonus: the diner has a bar, if that's important...

ETA: you can get in to the diner pkg lot from the road that runs behind Montclair State OR off of Rt. 46E.

Thanks all. We wound up at Alexus, but Six Brothers was our back-up.

Just curious, what did you think of Alexus? I haven't been there in many years, but as a former Montclair State student, I remember when they opened (in 1992) and they were awesome for several years. It was a nearly weekly hangout for us college kids. (24 oz steaks were $9.95 when they opened, BTW.)

But everything I've read about them over the past five years or so has indicated that they've gone way downhill. I was thinking about checking them out again, but with all the negative stuff, I'm not so sure. I'm not expecting Peter Luger steaks for $25, but I hope that they're at least almost as good as I remember them being all those years ago.

I thought Alexus was good, I was surprised it wasn't more upscale, from the looks of it from the road. More of a hangout type of restaurant, which I liked. I had the French Dip, it was good, not the best I ever had, but good. A plain hamburger is $6.00 or so, a few people had them and liked them. Calamari was ok, not great, but did the trick. I want to try them again soon, will let you know any further comments I may have.

How about the Alexus in nearby Clifton. It's very popular with the college crowd. All the burgers are 7-10 bucks and they have pitchers of beer.
