decadent, funky business lunch

racer416 Dec 17, 2010 06:32 PM

Hey Chows,
I need some ideas for a business lunch downtown for important business partners but they are from the arts world so I don't want to take them to anywhere that is too corporate.

I agree with Origin - the atmosphere is wonderful and the food above average

What about Origin (I haven't been yet, but reports are generally positive)?

Nota Bene has a less corporate feel that those corporate-type restaurants, especially if you sit in the bar area.

The Gallery Grill inside Hart House at U of T is a nice place for a business lunch. Not funky or decadent, but certainly not too corporate. http://dine.to/profile_features.php?feature=menu&id=2817

Lee also might work. I've never dined there at lunch. http://www.susur.com/lee/lee_lunch_me...

If you want to dine closer to the financial district, Luma in the Lightbox might be a neat choice for lunch, although reviews have been mixed. I haven't dined there yet.

Thought the portions were very small, and the food was mostly underwhelming, although the pastry basket was high quality, when I brunched at C5 last month.

How about 'C5' inside the ROM? I think they are open for lunch Tuesday to Saturday. Interesting place plus good food! What more artsy than lunch inside a museum?!
Frank inside the AGO used to be pretty good, foodwise. However, recently, heard something negative?! Haven't eaten there for a while!
