urgently need east village lunch spot with a booth
It's a tall order: I need a lunch spot for this Saturday at 1:30. It should have a booth, or some way of seating that maintains privacy. This will be a lunch meeting of 3 or 4 people and the MVP of the group has requested a booth so that nobody will hear our conversation. But my little company will be treating, so we need to keep it INEXPENSIVE. $15 per entree is the maximum. Any ideas? Plus Saturday at 1:30 is a nightmare!

Soba-ya on 9th St between 2nd and 3rd. They have nice booths, the service is very good, the lunch sets run from around $12 -18. I would call ahead and make a reservation specifically requesting a booth.
Oh wait, you meant today, right? Too bad.

At the moment, I can't really think of any inexpensive restaurants with booths besides diners. If diners are okay with you, how about Odessa on Avenue A? It's far from haute cuisine, but it fits your requirements and I've never had a bad dish there. And the space is big- there have always been seats available right away when I've visited. There are two sides: one side looks like a regular diner and the other side has a bar and is much more attractive in my opinion.
