Source for Cocoa Nibs in Brooklyn (not Wlliamsburg)

Cocoa Nibs are a zeitgeisty thing and I would like to give cooking with them a try. Any sightings of nibs on sale in Brownstone Brooklyn area?

Brooklyn Homebrew has them. Right at the corner of 3rd and 8th, next to Four and Twenty Blackbirds.

I bought a 6 oz. box of Scharffen Berger roasted cocao nibs at Fairway for $6.99, but not the Brooklyn Fairway. There's a good chance they carry it, also, though. You could call them and they can look it up in their computer to save yourself a trip.

I should have posted sooner - I check at WholeFoods in NJ - they said they had had them earlier but they had been discontinued.

However, I found a nice box of these in the bulk (packaged) section of the Red Hook Fairway. The package says they are "raw" - my recipe calls for them to be roasted so I need to do a bit more research. Thanks for the followups.

not in BK, but I thought I saw them in a whole foods; it was in a "superfoods" section or something; there is also that health food store on court street (above a bookstore) that I recall having some kind of interesting stuff like that.

I don't know where you'd find cacao nibs in Brooklyn, But Ryan, the owner of Organic Village in Glendale, might be able to steer you in the right direction since he uses them frequently and is a stickler for using high quality ingredients.

He's always been very friendly and helpful whenever I been to the restaurant and might know of a few suppliers/sellers in the Brooklyn.
