Jerk Hill vs Just Jerk - MD

Finally got to Jerk Hill in Hyattsville a couple of weeks ago. Interesting comparison to my long-time favorite Just Jerk in Lanham.

The sauce at Jerk Hill is nice and spicy and deeply flavored. But the chicken does not have that long-smoked flavor, and the dark meat does not benefit from the slow cooking process like Just Jerk, where it loses its greasiness and all you have left is the moist, tender, and smoky meat.

Just Jerk is great bbq, for those that say the DC area does not have great bbq.

Have you tried the Jerk at Crossroads? They have a free buffet with jerk wings at HH on Fridays

Where is Crossroads - and have you been to the other places?

Do they smoke the wings?

I have not been to either place usually I got to Negril , Jerk Pit in College Park, or Caribbean Delight in Beltsville

I've been to Jerk Pit and Negril. I don't think either one smokes their chicken, or it doesn't show up in the flavor. Just Jerk, as the name implies really only does one thing, and they have smoke pouring out of the place at all hours. It's a serious operation, and the end product shows it. Crossroads website says they grill the chicken.

I've heard good things about Caribbean Delight.
