Any update of restaurants that will be open for Christmas day lunch? I have been checking on Katie's blog but have not seen any update yet since she is writing some great stuff about my next destination! I am excited to have Christmas eve reservation at Casa Bleve... which they will be having a ala carte menu for anyone that may be wondering. thanks again for any updated lists and everyone have a wonderful holiday!
All the best,

I'm also looking for restaurant suggestions that are open on Christmas day and eve, as those are the two night I'll be in Rome. Sad that Antico Arco are closed both nights. Can anyone recommend any restaurants that are open during the holidays? Would hate to have our xmas dinner at the Italian Dennys.

We were in Rome for Christmas last year. We went to Casa Bleve for Christmas Eve (wonderful place, I highly recommend it) and on Christmas day, we had brunch at our hotel. For dinner, we walked around and found a restaurant. I don't remember which one, since we were pretty full from brunch and just stopped in to a simple place for something light. There were many places open, so it was not a problem. Also, there were many people walking around that day. It was fun. If you are not a large family with children in tow, I would suggest playing it by ear for dinner and just enjoying the day sightseeing, strolling and eating when you find a place that strikes your fancy. Christmas day is not a big a deal as Christmas Eve in Rome.
