need a first date place to recommend for my brother on UES

  • 4

Having lived downtown since I moved to NYC and being out of the dating scene for a while I am hoping someone else might be able to help me help my younger brother. My brother (in his twenties) is coming into NYC from CT to take a girl on a date. She lives midtown west so he would like somewhere there or UWS - though I have a feeling if there was a great idea elsewhere he would be game. Probably midrange cost (20-30 entrees), steak, fish, or italian, not too romantic, more on the trendy side. Anyone have any great suggestions I can pass along? Help is MUCH appreciated.

  1. Serafina at 49th and Broadway is a casual Italian restaurant that's reasonable. The pizza is outstanding.

    Serafina @ 224 West 49th Street, New York, NY 212 - 247 - 1000.

Thanks - I like Serafina, but haven't been to that one. Not sure pizza is what he is looking for, but I will pass it along.

    2. How about A Voce Columbus? Nice view of Columbus Circle, trendy without trying too hard, right price range, and good food.

That is perfect - however, I just realized he said UES when I spoke to him - but maybe he wants to go Columbus Circle (she lives in midtown east, so its not really that much father).
