looking for a Romantic and Intimate Dinner and Dance
Hello,
I have been looking for a Formal/fancy Restaurant that has dinner and dancing on a more romantic and personal/intimate setting. This is for a very special date where the lady can wear a nice formal dress and not feel out of place.
Most of what i find are more casual or night club and isn't what i am looking for. I'm looking for possibly live music that we can dance to and something that may cater to the younger crowds (we are in our mid 20's). But as i said before this is for a more romantic and intimate date for some quiet talking, and spending time together
Any suggestions?

An interesting spot to check out is Reservoir Lounge. Again, it isn't anything special food wise (although the sandwich I had there was pretty decent although far from "fancy") the setting on a Thursday night was pretty intimate and there is a small dance floor for live music (was swing music when I went). Again, I would suggest a non-peak day of the week as I imagine on a Saturday night the small space could get crowded.

I thought of Reservoir Lounge first, too, but it doesn't really match the OP's request for a place where his date can wear a formal gown. It's an amazing spot with fantastic music, though!
Zoso, the only place I can think of that might fit the bill is Palais Royale. The usually have a big band dance night a few times a year. People get dressed up, the space is beautiful and the big band orchestra is great. I'm pretty sure there is a dinner option for these nights. I took my mom there a couple of years ago and she had a great time.
There's nothing on the schedule right now, but check this page occasionally to see if something pops up:

Seriously hard one. There are almost no places for dinner and dancing in Toronto. I'm a ballroom dancer and I've been looking for ages.
NOT good food, but if you want an evening dancing to waltz/foxtrot etc., The West Way Dance Club on Evans is a good place. On Sunday nights people will dress up and you can take the floor. (There's also a buffet dinner, but ick. You'd be going for the dancing, not the food. My dance partner and I always stay away from it...) It's not fancy but there are lots of tables and you can find a dark corner ;)
I have also heard good things about the Old Mill for nice romantic dinner and dancing, but haven't been so I can't personally comment.

re: FrenchSoda
I was at the Old Mill for a private party once, and the dinner/dancing crowd were in the next room so we got a chance to observe. I would say the average age of the patrons was a good 4 decades older than the OP, so might not be the best fit.
I honestly can't think of anywhere that fits the bill.

Okay, I'm going to take a stab at this (I suspect the lack of response so far is that your request is a tall order!)
Don't think you're going to get everything you're looking for in one place, but I'll start the conversation with somewhere that I think might fit for atmosphere ... The Fifth Grill - table by the fire, pianist playing, heated outdoor terrace where maybe you could sneak off to for a dance. The cuisine isn't going to be the best in the city, but it should be at least OK ...
