Rubicon Grill - Mississauga
Does anyone know if this place plans on re-opening?
They had a fire in March 2009 and their website is still up and running and no where on it does it mention anything about re-opening.
It also does not indicate to possible customers that it is closed. I did want to try this place before the fire, however am quite put off by the fact that they do not indicate they are closed. The specials, menu, address and everythign is there so I wonder how many people have gone and reliazed once they get there that it is closed.
Is it just me, or is this something out of the ordinary?

A pizza place opened up there along with a drug store so I don't think Rubicon is returning.

Yes, a few new places have opened, however the actual unit that Rubicon used to be in is still vacant.
I'm not worried if they'll re-open as I'm quite annoyed at the website making it appear there is a restaurant there and not having the concern for clients to let them know there is not Rubicon Grill at the moment. I just don't get why anyone would do this or do it, but not have the forethought to know people may very well go there looking to eat since the website gives no inkling of the actual status.

You are correct on that point. It was our go to place for wings and after the fire i kept checking the website and had my hopes up - however got over that after say a year. Too bad really.

haha......ya, guess I should work on getting over it too. I'm over it, although thought I'd bring to possible customers attention how they have no care to inform people not to waste time travelling to the location.

Yes - that would be horrible experience to show up expecting wings and find the lights out. That happened to my SO and I. We always went to Bernhardts (sp?) the german grocery store at square one on Saturday's to have sausage and perogie only to find it closed. Still upset although no website was involved.

well they are definetly not coming back to their old location as a new Schwarma place moved in just recently... so time for the website to come down and not mislead anyone anymore.
