Cork - Pleasant Ridge, MI

Friend introduced me to this place. Its located on woodward right south of 696, on the east hand side. Honestly, if you blink you'll probably miss it.

Its primarily a wine bar/gastro-pub type of place. What a great little spot! Ambiance inside is very warm and cozy. Awesome date place for the singles set.

Staff: Excellent. Attentive, friendly.

Food: It reminded me of an inexpensive Talullahs. Hyper-fresh, innovative yet simple cuisine. I had their duck entree. My piece of meat was done to perfection. Crispy skin, evenly cook. That thick layer of duck fat between the skin and actual meat just bursted with flavor. Moist and tender. Deeelicious. I was very sad to finish the meat. It was paired with a zucchini wrapped quinoa that was an interesting mix of textures and flavors. My friend had the pork dish which he ranted and raved about as well.

I wasn't in the mood for wine, so I can't comment on that.

Overall, definitely give this place a try. Like I said before, its a cheaper Talullahs without the stuffy Birmingham crowd.
