Restaurants in Bend, OR?

Hi - I want to get some gift certificates for good restaurants in Bend, OR - we have a good friend who skis there in March/April. I know nothing about the area, so could use some recommendations for great places. Nothing with tiny portions, but great food and atmosphere.

A good breakfast and lunch place, pumping your reggae beats is CHOW Bend. The breakfast is both affordable, sizeable, and delicious. The food is fresh and the service is impeccable. Also, The Pine Tavern which is a Bend favorite steakhouse serving quality seafood and hors devours accompanied with outstanding wine menus and first rate service and views of Mirror Pond

967 NW Brooks St, Bend, OR 97701

Hola is one of my favorite restaurants in Bend. Another great choice would be 10 Barrel Brewing Company, or the Deschutes Brewery.

A couple more suggestions. Best beer and food-10 Barrel Brewing on Galveston. Zydeco downtown on Bond Street.. Nancy P's on Newport for breakfast goodies.

That is a really hard question b.c bend is filled with a lot of great restaurant options.

Depending on what kind of genre they would like the best (bend has a really good restaurant genre for being an isolated city) and how much money (bend can also be expensive) so here is a list of my fav places that have great food, good atmosphere, lower costs:

          Hola-Old Mill District $
          El Rodeo-just off of 3rd street $
          FlatBread Community Oven-Old Mill $
          900 Wall-Downtown $$
          Marz Bistro-Downtown $$
          Blacksmith -Downtown $$
          Zyedco-downtown $$
Bend Brewing Co (My personal Fav for food and great beer)-downtown $
          Baldys BBQ-Westend $
          Cascade Lakes Brewery -westend $

There are a lot of options, but those are a list of my favs. Let me know if you need more options (I still have plenty more). If your friends are not an Oregonian Native, I would highly suggest McMenamins (Great food, beer and movies)!
