Cheap but impressive eats in Barca?
I miraculously found a dirt, dirt cheap to Barcelona - but I hadn't saved my normal gastronomic fund in order to eat. Could someone please recommend lower price point places (40 euro and under for dinner - 20 euro and under for lunch, anyone have a favorite place for a menu del dia)?
I'm thinking places like Cata 181 where you can have a truly beautiful, heart warming (although not revolutionary) tasting menu for 25 euro (and bottles of wine for 7)... I would like spectacular (but not pricey) dinner tasting advice as well - I hit Gresca last time and 50 euros for 9 beautiful, perfectly executed courses seems well worth it (after dinner the chef came out and we talked about the momfuku's...)

The least expensive tasting menu at Cata 181 is a real bargain; difficult to duplicate but for a few euros more, might try Embat or Coure or Olives. Around the same cost as Gresca is Hisop.
Cheap but good everyday places: Sant Joan, Foxos, Goliard, Can Mano, Can Mao, La Cova Fumada, Anima, Can Lluis. Most will have menu del dia for around 10 to 12E. Couple of very reasonable places for seafood are El Barkito and La Paradeta. None of these are "impressive" but worth it.
