Chuao at the Irvine Spectrum
I stopped in at Chuao for a mocha at lunch.
I think these guys have the best mocha around. This is one of the most intense versions I've tried - unlike many including the Valentino Chocolate place at The Spectrum, you really taste the richness of the chocolate, there's no skimping on the good stuff.
I got their signature traditional mocha, as opposed to the aztec/mexican chocolate version I'd tried previously. I think I favor the traditional version most, for the simple reason that it's more of a pure chocolate experience !

Yes, I do think it's an awful location. It also doesn't help that there seems to be a number of other chocolate/dessert places surround the plaza in that location of the Irvine Spectrum.
I think the spectrum crowd is also too young.I don't expect it to survive there much longer, but I hope they can stay in OC.

Oh my God. I agree with you. I tried the white chocolate mocha drink and it is probably the best I have ever tasted. I'm going back to try the dark chocolate drinks. Unfortunately, the Irvine location doesn't seem to be doing so well. I went on a weekday but there was only one customer there. I tried a couple of chocolates and they are very unique. But I'm not a big hard chocolate fanatic.
If anyone is a mocha drink fanatic and in OC, you owe it to yourself to atleast try it once. If anyone can find a mocha drink that can compare in OC or even LA, I'd like to know.
