Best Coffee Shop in Chicago?

Hello, I am doing a little research about Chicago. What would most locals consider to be the best coffee shop. I am looking for a locally owned place that roasts their own beans. Could be really trendy but has great coffee and atmosphere.

TimeOut Magazine recently featured 15 Coffee Shops, including Asado and Bridgeport Coffee House (great atmosphere!). http://timeoutchicago.com/restaurants... I'm also a big fan of Allegro coffee which is roasted on-site at Whole Foods on Roosevelt.

The Nyabumera (Rwanda) coffee at Intelligentsia for the past week or two was the best coffee I've ever had, at least in terms of what I like. Intelligentsia can brew an amazing cup.

Just as a fun side note, when I was at Metropolis the other day, I saw a big box with Alinea written on the side. I wonder if they are planning to try & win them over?

All of these places don't roast their own beans, but they are top tier coffee shops.
The Big local roasters: Intelligentsia and Metropolis. Both of these guys are nationally reputed and call chicago home.
Shops that don't roast, but have highly trained baristas, top notch coffee and equipment: Ch'ava cafe, Wormhole, Ipsento, the Coffee Studio, The Brothers K (Evanston) and Dark Cloud (recently opened) come to mind.

Intelligentsia and Metropolis are the first coffee roasters discussed in the existing topic for which the link was posted above. Again:

Casteel does indeed roast on site; however, opinions on their coffee are decidedly mixed. I have heard folks claiming they impart a burnt taste to their coffee. I don't like coffee, so I wouldn't know.
