Wine For a Business Gift - Sokolin?

I've been tasked with picking a bottle or bottles of wine for a client gift (despite the fact that I don't drink!). The budget is approximately $100 and it needs to be from a website that delivers in California. My preference is that the wine is Californian. I have no idea what this client's taste in wine is, so I was thinking maybe one bottle of white and one bottle of red. Sokolin (www.sokolin.com) looks like it fits the bill - has anyone ordered from this website, and if so, did you have a good experience? TIA!

If you're ordering California wine to be sent to a California address, why not order direct from the winery? In many cases the cost is considerably less...

Shipping from East to West coast will substantially add to your cost. Why not order from a West Coast store? Use winesearcher.com

        Sokolin is beyond expensive.

I thought it might be - but I comparison-shopped a couple of bottles just to see, and it actually was among the least expensive. For instance, 2006 Mondavi Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is $87.99/bottle at Sokolin and $119.99/bottle at Wally's (above). This, of course, is before shipping though...

Try Wally's if you're looking for a wine shop around L.A. or try D & M if you're looking for someone to deal with in the San Francisco Bay area.

Wally's is a great suggestion - thank you!
