Best Steak - Kansas City

We're going to KC at the first of the year and want a great steak. We don't need fancy. We'll be staying at Crown Center but have a car and are willing to drive. DH loves ribeyes and I like filets or prime rib. Where's the best place?

Go to McGonigles Market on 79th and Ward Parkway. Buy one of the best steaks you will ever have. Then, locate someone with a grill!

I'm not big on red meat, so haven't made any studied comparisons of all steakhouses in the area, or anything of the sort, really. BUT, I will heartily second this rec. Piropos makes a damn fine steak, and I find their sides tasty too. The location ain't bad either...and their service is reliably good. I even love the wine list. Highly rec'd.

I am a red meat person and the best steak in KC is a very easy call....Capital Grille. No question about it.

Somehow, I've never been to Capital Grille....thanks for the rec. It's one of those places I keep meaning to go.

We ate at the Capital Grille in Seattle recently and knowing the quality of Kansas City beef your CG should be fabulous.
