Sushi in the Front & Spadina area?

Anyone have a recommendation for a decent sushi place (not all you can eat, please) within walking distance of Front & Spadina? Most of the 'recommended' places seem to be on the east side of Yonge or north! Thank you

Mi-Ne sushi is just off spadina and bremner (across the street from gate 11 of the Rogers Centre) and I think it is pretty good for a decent price. Especially if you stick to the basic rolls and don't order the fancy rolls. I love the spicy tuna roll for $6.50. It is not very spicy, but it has a nice flavorful sauce with a little kick. I also really love the agedashi tofu here. The dashi stock is richer and more flavourful than most places. If I could I would order just the stock and drink it like soup! (not that the tofu isn't good too).
I also like this place because the staff are very friendly, and the green tea is great.

The only down side to this place is that it is pretty small, so groups of more than four will have a hard time.

Is Asakusa still on King just east of spadina across from MEC? That might work. It's semi decent.

Is Front just west of Yonge OK? Take Sushi. Pricey.

Takesushi is pretty bad, I found quite a few pre-made sushi on my plate at lunch, so they charge at least $20 +tax, which is their cheapest sushi set for some pre-made sushi.

fair enough, I only had the chirashi - my go to option for lunch- which I found OK but very expensive. OP be warned!

Have you tried Yuzu's chirashi ? Not cheap but It is $10 cheaper than Takesushi.

I have been meaning to try Yuzu for some time now. It is not near anywhere I would usually find myself during lunch time, and for dinner, we somehow always persuade ourselves to go to Zen this time, and try these new places next time...

Oh, speaking of which, we had the steamed snow crab at Zen the other day, and it was fantastic!

Chirashi at Yuzu good, but nothing to write home about. It satisfies my craving if I am in that area, basically I think that's the only one which is good in that area ...

Zen is good. Did they served the snow crab together with crab roe ?

nope, the roe did not make a showing as far as I remember

The only one that comes to mind is Yuzu. Solid-to-really-good sushi. Not for purists.
