Bodega in Georgetown for tapas. Loved it!

In addition to the menu, please look at the photos on the home page. This place is gorgeous!!! And the service is so nice. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly. We commented on how much we liked their bread and could he recommend where we could buy a loaf to go with our dinner. He gave us a loaf to take away with us.

Tapas, whether Spanish or just small plates, is one of my favorite ways to eat. I love trying different things. We ordered the Pimientos del Piquillo Relleno de Costilla de Buey which is
Piquillo Peppers Stuffed with Braised Beef Short Ribs & Served au Jus ($7). This was definitely Bob's favorite but I couldn't choose :) Another dish was Codorniz con Salsa Vino Tinto Trufada -
Grilled Quail with a Red Wine Truffle Sauce ($8). Another 10 in IMneverHO! And finally Pulpo a la Plancha - Seared Octopus with a Sprinkle of Smoked Paprika ($8). We had three glasses of Spanish wine for the two of us and the total was $51.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. Great food, wine, beautiful place, terrific staff. I can't imagine being disappointed. We simply ran out of time or we would have been back there, for sure. We'll be back some day!

  1. This is one of the only restaurants on M street that is worth going to. Their sangrias in the summer really hit the spot.

We walked pretty much all the way up M and that was the one that sang to us. Later in our trip we were driving north off M and saw a number of interesting places. We both loved the DC food.

    2. I actually like Bodega quite a bit. If I'm in Georgetown shopping or going to a movie by myself I often times stop at their bar for a small bite to eat. I really like their chicken croquettas.
