Today is their opening day. Place is huge and set up beautifully. My husband and I went there today on the way to Foodtown. Food and service were excellent. It should do very well there.

re: JerzeyShore
went there last night...very, VERY dissapointing....this is glorified chain style tex mex..everything from the chips and salsa to the guacamole and refried beans tasted like they were out of a can, jar or bag. Ordered the fajitas...they were SWIMMING in oil and came out cool (not served sizzling tableside as one expects with fajitas). Mother ordered the street style tacos that were just drenched in melted processed cheese. I have to say it was hard for us to even eat our food but the place was PACKED, service was SLOW and we were starving so we choked it down. Bottom Line: Chilli's has better food than this place ( and thats saying something coming from a person who would rather skip a meal than set foot in a chain restaurant). VERY VERY dissapointing...

re: tuxedo
big night & day difference from Dvg1027 post above...COLD?...there is no reason for that kind of shotty service...sounds like no body cares & poor management....at that rate wont be long before they're gone also.. I would of threw a couple of bucks on the counter and walked out.

re: tuxedo
We have been there twice for dinner and once for lunch. Each time it has been excellent. The staff was very courteous and attentive and they are willing to accomodate you if you want something different. We have talked to quite a few people who have been there since it has opened and they have all raved about it. The place was packed this past Friday and there was a 1/2 hour wait for a table. I figured that the food might take longer to come out. This was not the case. It came out in a timely manner and was piping hot. My sister-in-law had fajitas when she went there and she raved about it.

This is the original La Cantina. The original owners who also own Brennan's Steakhouse are reopening La Cantina, with the same menu, rehired the original cook and also have many of the hand painted tables. They were supposed to open this week, but I think the snow held them up. They will be opening very soon

re: Ms Fury
We had a party of 7 that went there last week. Food was very good and reminded us of the original La Canina. Would have loved to have had dessert but all of us cleaned our plates and couldn't manage anymore. Great margarita's too. This place is a lot bigger than the original and has been open only 2 maybe 3 weeks. Maybe a few more weeks under there belt will get the problems other diners have seemed to experience ironed out. We plan on going back in a week or two. Will let you know how it goes. If the food and service remains like we experienced they have another winner on their hands.
