Have reservation already for O Ya. Cragie is not opened on mondays, and Neptune does not take reservation.

Are there great food around the Back Bay area or close by.
Thank you.

  1. Back Bay restaurants tend to be high-proiced and not very interesting. L'Espalier appears to have slipped somewhat since its move to the Madarin Oriental Hotel but it still is the best of the bunch. Mistral is also quite good.

For more interesting options, look to the South End a short distance asway. Hamersley's Bistro is reliably good. I also like Aquitauine and Union. Try doing a search for South End.

    1. For fine dining in the Back Bay, I like Deuxave, Sorrelina, La Voile, Brasserie Jo, L'Espalier, Douzo, Clio/Uni, Grill 23, Bistro du Midi, Towne, Via Matta, Troquet, Erbaluce (very close to Park Square in nearby Bay Village), and Sel de la Terre (though I like the Waterfront one better).

I would add to slim's list Lucca on Huntington and, in Kenmore Square, Eastern Standard Kitchen and Island Creek Oyster Bar.

            Good choice. Try the bolognese.
