"Galette à l'avoine" [split from Quebec board]

HI,...I'm from Montreal Canada and me to I love those galettes (cookies) from the time I went to the high school ,...yea and I know how to made them,...
Here the recipe:

1 cup of butter
1 cup of cassonade ( brown sugar )
1/2 cup of sugar ( white sugar )
2 eggs
2 tea spoon of vinilla
2 soup spoon of water
1 1/2 cup of white flour
3 cups of oats

How to made it:

Mix all the ingredients in a boll and then with a big spoon take the portions and put it in a wax paper in a salver for cookies and cook them at the oven for 15 minutes at 350°F
That's all and enjoy them ,...good luck!!

      I put in mine 1/2cup of raisin and or 1/2 cup of nuts... and yes this is the original recipe. The same in Quebec city in my grandmother cookbook.

        AH que je suis contente Mikey !!!...Ça fait du bien savoir que tu pourras les gouter!!!....Comme moi aussi... je suis une mordue de ces biscuits, n'ai pas pu m'empêcher de t'écrire.

        Et j,ai oublié d'jouter a la recette ;....une pincée du sel ( 1/4 tea spoon of salt )

        1. Galadrielle, is this Regina's recipe??? I went there from 86-91 and still crave those cookies! They had given us the recipe in Economie Familiale but I lost it when my parents renovated their kitchen and threw it out! If this is that recipe I am eternally grateful to you!             I really don know if that recipe belong to regina's,...but one thing I know ; nobody could ever make galettes like the woman ho worked at the cafeteria of the St. Paul high school. Because her cookies where delicious and desapered as soon she maid them . And she worked at 5 others high was and old French recipe.
