Strong drinks, great food
Hello, friends! I am turning 21 this coming week, and would like to go out for a birthday dinner on Friday night with some of my nearest and dearest in Washington DC. I am having trouble finding a restaurant, so I was looking for some input.
My ideal restaurant...
•Serves some strong, strong drinks (or, at least, has a creative drinks menu)
•Is not incredibly expensive
•Is delicious
•Has a fun, young atmosphere
I don't care what kind of food they serve...bring it on! Any recommendations? Anyone want to buy me a shot?
Thanks!

How about Cafe Saint-Ex? Or, right across the street, Marvin? This assuming the fun atmosphere and the drinks are more important than the food, although the food is good at both. If it's primarily about the food, maybe Zaytinya. Masa 14 is young and fun, but neither the food or drinks are particularly good. If you're careful about what you order, though, you could go to Estadio - apparently their slushies are delicious and rather strong.

Does it have to be in the district?
Liberty Tavern and Eat Bar both come to mind. Eat Bar has an incredibly cheap but good bar menu. Liberty Tavern it depends on what you order, but entrees and pizzas tend to be large. And there are other good bars nearby in Clarendon.
What about Matchbox? It isn't known for it's cocktails per se, but I have had cocktails there that were really good and the food is good and not too expensive.

Not sure what your price range is exactly but I bet Gina at PS7 will make your drink as strong as you want it. :)
Other places to consider Cafe Atlantico, Rasika, and Masa 14.
