Purchase, NY

So what is happening on Anderson Hill Road? The Creek has closed. Cobblecreek is a busy pub-like place and there is a new "Arthur Ave" style restaurant about to open. Any info?

  1. Anyone been to the Cobblestone? Menu on website sounds good, but I hear the place is dreary? Any thoughts?

it's a pub-- food is inconsistant- they have burgers (they are usually good), love the sweet potato fries.

The new Italian place had a fire.

their burgers are quite fantastic...also, the fries are pretty delicious. waitstaff isn't so attentive, and i've only been there when it was ridiculously crowded by the bar. super noisy...too noisy for me.

        the creek closed? lame.

      2. Sadly, The "Arthur Ave" style place was burned out in an awful fire about a month after it opened.

Wow, wasn't that an historic building as well?

Yes. It was a 100 year old building...they had been open about a month. Kinda sad.

drove by yesterday and it looked like they may be back soon. All the yellow tape was gone and there was no sign on the door. I did not stop but I took that as a good sign hopefully...

it doesn't look like it will be open any time soon the fire was pretty bad and the renovations are going to takes some time.

from what i heard the take out will be lower prices than the dining in which is going to be high end no details but from what i heard they have 9 months to start or the zoning for the building goes back to residential.
