Where to drink beer in Nashville?

LPM Dec 11, 2010 01:58 AM

Hey, I've been away from Nashville for a few years now. Where would you go if you wanted a comfortable spot to drink good beer before an event at Titans stadium -- so either downtown or in East Nashville? Is Flying Saucer still open? Anything new in Five Points? Thank you.

Downtown at Broadway Brewhouse. They have a 2/1 special and good wings. Walk to the game.

I'll second the downtown Broadway Brewhouse. I'm not a big fan of many downtown Nashville bars but this is a good one. Don't go anywhere on 2nd street.

Yes, Flying Saucer is still there. Don't know of any specifically beer-oriented places in East Nashville, but there are plenty of restaurants and bars - the area has continued to grow.

If you want to go a little further afield, look at 12South Taproom -- not that far from downtown, and pretty good food to boot. The local brewpubs, Blackstone and Bosco's, are also still in full swing.
