I like to take my small kids to The Kitchen, on Union at DeLancey. They make good pizzas and pastas and other red-checked tablecloth-style Italian food -- good chicken marsala, eggplant parm, lasagna, etc. The waitresses always bring my kids their drinks in cups with lids and straws and are very accommodating. There are two or three tables along one wall that have bench-style seating on one side, which seems to work well for the kids.
