Boy, I wish Frita Batidos was closer to the East-Side. Next time I go to Ann Arbor, I'll definitely check it out. Braised, pulled Berkshire pork shoulder with a sweet chili sauce? Now that's a sandwich. There's a certain Chowhound on the West-Side who surely will be game for that, and I think we all know of whom I'm speaking. Thx for the tip, trapani.

Tried Frita Batidos today. Had a fish frito--very good, as was my cortadito coffee. ($4 cortadito!!??) There are a lot of intriguing small items on the menu.

Ooh. Will attempt to check out in the next week or two, at least the Packard one. Also been meaning to attempt Dos Hermanos in Ypsi on a Friday long lunch excursion.

Much better options at 2 Hermanos on a Sat or Sun. Good time of year to enjoy a steaming cup of savory (if greasy) consome (made from the mutton bones from the barbacoa is made.
