  1. I have not been to N9NE but was recently at Carne Vino. I would not return to Carne Vino. The restaurant is right off the gaming floor and the slot machines are visible through the bar side of the restaurant. The bar side is not enclosed so that end of the restaurant is completely open to the casino. I just felt underwhelmed by the atmosphere. The service was very poor and it was quite expensive. The only plus was that the food was good but given the location and bad service I would not go back.

I would rather go to CUT than Carne Vino.

Ummmm, it is in a casino right?

Yes, but some places buffer themselves better than others. For example, Craft Steak is in a casino but off of the casino floor. CUT you walk into the restaurant from the casino but it is well buffered/self contained. One end of Carne Vino opens up to the casino as though it is some oceanfront view.

Location is everything. Does the fact that B&B/Delmonico/and other such places. are in "better" locations through out the casino make them better at buffering patrons from the noise/hubbub of the casino? The answer is partially due to location. I will never judge a restaurant in Las Vegas by it location within a casino. And as a matter of fact, I travel to Las Vegas to take advantage of the casinos (I generally lose that battle!). Carnevino is a corner location right up against the casino floor. If it were a more upscale eight-course tasting menu type of restaurant I would agree that it could do a better job of sealing itself off from the casino environment. But it’s a steakhouse. A steakhouse IN a casino.

Carnevino only offers a 5 course tasting menu

I guess if you like upscale tasting menu prices in a brew pub atmosphere with rude and dismissive waitstaff then Carnevino is the place for you.

            Enjoy

I found the staff to be quite inviting and the food to be excellent on my visit.
