Festive Dinner - Anywhere in Manhattan - Christmasy!

I'm looking for a very festive, decorated and warm restaurant to go to dinner.

We are open to location in Manhattan. We really just want something to get us in the Christmas spirit (think fireplace, electric trains, etc).

We are both vegetarian so a place with some veggie options would be best (Italian, Asian, etc typically works well).

Nothing crazy expensive - just a nice night out.

Rolf's German Restaurant is the most Christmasy place I've ever seen in my life. The food is lackluster at best, but it looks like Santa Clause vomited Christams decorations all over.

You could eat in the front room of Gramercy Tavern, which is still festive but less expensive.

Upstairs at Friend of a Farmer has a fireplace and is beautifully decorated for Christmas.

The food is not that great at Friend of a Farmer though.

Take a look at Balthazar and see if there's enough veggie friendly dishes for you -- it's gorgeous right now. If not, just get drinks or dessert there.

That's too bad. I've only eaten there the once, about 3 weeks ago, which was when I saw the decorations. My meal was perfectly fine, such that I certainly wouldn't warn someone away from the place. I also ordered a dinner salad and the soup of the day though, so I guess that didn't create much opportunity to judge.
