Where can I find pickled herring to make Norwegian "sild salat"? IKEA doesn't have the right kind. I need the ones in chopped in little bits and marinated in something like dill pickle juice. Thank you for you help!
You could try calling the Eastern European stores, like Bucarest , Wawel or Felix Mish - they usually carry it- maybe not in little pieces but certainly pickled- it's a very common dish for Xmas, at least with polish people.
