Does anyone know where to find cider and calvados from Normandy in the SD central area? Thanks!

Just bought some Organic Etienne Dupont Cidre Bouche Brut de Normandie at the Hillcrest Whole Foods today. I think they had another cidre from Normandy as well.

We normally buy our Calvados (for cooking) at TJ in LJ.

Try Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido, I know they carry a few different ciders. I've always enjoyed Wandering Aengus.

BevMo carries Calvados but I have no idea about cider. I remember Josh talking about Norman ciders either here or on the Beer section a long time ago but I forget what his recommendation was. I think it might have been Etienne Dupont but I could be wrong. I'm not sure where to get it though.

Call KnB Cellars in Del Cerro and ask if they've got it before you go. They've got an extensive wall (floor to ceiling) of liquor, betting they've got Calvados. As for cider, ditto jmtreg's rec for Julian Hard Cider. Very refreshing and goes down quite easily. KnB definitely has that.

You can have it mailed or pick up at a local store.

No idea. But while we're on the topic, I'm fairly impressed with Julian Hard Cider - much, much more champagne like than other ciders I've had in the past.
