Restaurant Near Radio City for Plain Eater

Hello. My mom, sisters and I are going to the Rockettes at Radio City on Saturday night. I'm looking for a casual dining option near Radio City. My mom is a pretty plain eater. She would order Chicken Parmigiana at an Italian restaurant or maybe a place where she could order a burger or a simple fish dish.

thank you!

  1. There is a place called Tony's DiNapoli on 43rd between 6th/7th. It's family style Italian food, good, basic and affordable. You should probably make a reservation though.

    1. You don't say how far you'd be willing to travel. If you don't mind chain restaurants, there's a McCormick & Schmick's across the street from Radio City. .

I haven't eaten there but it has been there for at least several years, and of course the chain is well established nationally. They also have a theatre menu, which would help you get to the show quickly.

      1. Along the same lines as Tony's is Carmine's, also family style. If there are 4 of you, one salad and one chicken parm with pasta would easily feed all four of you. Again, reservations recommended for pre-theatre (if you can still get them).

Another somewhat "basic" option close by is Bar Americain. Nothing is going to "wow" you really, but the food is reasonably good, and your mother would probably find something to order.
