Amazing escargot at Savoy Kitchen in Alhambra...and cheap!

Eastside Eater Dec 8, 2010 02:19 PM

I finally a chance to try the escargot at the Savoy Kitchen in Alhambra. It looks like Alhambra is an undercover foodie land. Anyway, I tried the escargot---and they were awesome! The texture was really nice and tender with plenty of butter and garlic. I had to try...my cholesterol be damned! Wow...and they are $6.95 for 5 of them. I also like Savoy Kitchen because they mix Asian and Italian food (including pizza!). Good stuff! Here is a pic of what is left of the evidence.

If you like Savoy's iteration of escargot, try it at Indian, Hot Stuff Cafe and Newport. All in San Gabriel.

Awesome...thanks for the recommendation---I will most def try! The Eastside is often overlooked when it comes to food.

I hear ya...I felt the same way...but then I noticed everyone was ordering them...so I said alright. Actually, the shrimp rolls are really good too.

Shrimp rolls are good. I actually like the curry chicken more than the hainan chicken.
