ISO Dad's Coconut Oatmeal Cookies

madamemeowmeow Dec 8, 2010 08:50 AM

I am looking for these cookies; are they still available for purchase? My mom has a recipe for a chocolate square that calls for the cookies. She has tried the plain oatmeal cookies but it doesn't taste the same!

I would appreciate your help in locating this product, suggestions in Toronto or the western part of the GTA (Mississauga, Etobicoke, Oakville)

Regards,

You can always check with Dad's cookie factory directly in Scarborough on just off of Brimley between Ellesmere and 401, on the west corner across from the mall at the intersection where the parkinglot empties. (Unfortuently, I don't recall the name of the street itself.
They have a small store front.

Pretty sure I have seen them at the Costco on the Queensway.

Have seen them at Loblaws (both Christie/Dupont and Forest Hill locations) and No Frills... but these are years-old memories. Worth a peek if you're in the area. Good luck!

Are you talking about the classic Dads cookies in the yellow box? They are crunchy and come packaged in twos? I get those all the time for my kids at any grocery store. They don't say coconut oatmeal on the box but there is a taste of coconut in the cookies. They are the perfect cookie for dunking and are often on sale.
