Who's tried Jerry Remy's new menu?

Jerry Remy's restaurant got a very favorable review on PigTrip this spring. I was surprised to see that a couple months ago they totally changed the menu, eliminating the BBQ (ribs, beef short ribs, brisket). Has anyone tried the current menu? Trying to decide if today's $15 for $35 groupon is worth it.

The smoker out back seemed to be a pretty important part of what was going on there. I wonder if it is just shut down for the offseason/winter and will return in April?

If they do have BBQ, the brisket was the best thing I tried, just ask for the sauce on the side, since it wasn't very good, and the meat was drowning in it. If the BBQ is truly gone, then the place isn't much different than a TGI Fridays with a local celeb's name attached.

You could always spend the money on good beer while watching a game. Last time I was there they had Delerium Tremens, Dogfish 60min IPA, Cisco, and Harpoon 100 Barrel series on draft.

Pretty sure there is some kind of unofficial food+beer thing for these.
I know that with the Redbones one, you couldn't use it all on beer...part of it probably because alcohol is where restaurants make a ton of money, the other part being the legality about no drink specials in Massachusetts.

only fine print was that it had to be used in a limited amount of time so a lot of beer may be in the offing. too bad , I was looking forward to trying their barbecue

I've used groupons/buywithmes etc for alcohol only. Lord Hobo and Lower Depths are places that come to mind where it wasn't an issue when I did it. I spent two $40 groupons to The Meat House in Coolidge on all beer too.
