Lake Worth area?

  • 5

Going down this weekend....have 2 nites to plan dinner. Anything new that we should try or even anything old that I haven't tried? Maybe some quick lunch places? Haven't been in the area for about 1 1/2 years. Do like the downtown Lake Worth area. Have eaten at Coucco Pazzo and The Cottage. Any info would be great and appreciated! Thanks..

  1. Bfast or lunch at John G's on Lake Worth Beach is a must. Shelias Famous conch and bbq
at 12th ave S. and dixie , outdoor walkup only, good spot for lunch. Of course these spots are nowhere near as intiment as Cocopaz or The C. On the higher end is Michelle Bernsteins at The Omphoy Hotel just south of LW Beach on A1A. Also if your looking for Key west style attmosphere, on the water, The Olde Key Lime House in Lantana is not a bad shot. Definatly hit John G's once.

Sheila's is not only walk-up. There is seating inside.

    2. I guess I will piggyback on this thread. Does anyone know of a worthy, casual, mid priced resto around Lake Worth's Lucerne Ave area? I am going to a show at the newly re-opened Bamboo Room and need a place for dinner.

I always have Zapata as a stand in but wonder if Havana Hideout is worth a visit.

Just a bit south of LW Lucerne in Lantana at Ocean Ave. is a small Peruvian restaurant named Victoria's which might please you as it did us. Meets your criteria and the food is good. Closed on Mondays but open mist evenings. It is just west of Dixie Highway on Ocean Ave (short idstance south of Lantana Road, turn west, go over rr tracks, turn into small strip mall on your left (Cuban restaurant on your left, Victoria's is on right just before liquor store.

Bizarre Avenue Cafe has great food and it's a neat place. I think it's on Lake. Il Paradiso is expensive but wonderful Italian.
