Nalley's Closing Soon... RIP

kaleokahu Dec 7, 2010 10:09 PM

Northwest food-manufacturing icon Nalley's has announced it will close and cease operations as a result of its acquision by another company. So those of us who enjoy their lines of pickles and canned chili should stock up while we can.

Apparently it is closing both the pickle and chili plants. Mrbigshotno.1 posted the pickle link. Here is the chili link.

Oh, man, that sucks. Nalleys was always one of the things unique to the PNW. My grandma always had Nalley's pickles in her fridge if she didn't have homemade.

Hate hate hate when we lose things that make regions unique, all in the name of "progress".

There's no way the flavors will stay the same, they never do.

Oh no! I have to have the banquet dills for my grilled burgers and the banquet relish for the hotdogs. The only place I can get them where I live is at Albertson's and they are such a rip off on their prices,oh well. What conglomorate bought them up?

Oh No! Off to Bimart to buy Chicken and Noodles.

LOL. Their pickles and chili are actually pretty decent. Especially the Walla Walla Onion chili.

oh, I agree. I even like their mayo. The beef stew and chicken and noodles have been sold at Bimart for as long as I can remember.
