Recommendation requested for Baltimore Inner Harbor area

New York Hound coming to Baltimore this weekend would like a recommendation for a nice moderately priced dinner spot preferably within walking or short taxi distance from the Marriott Inner Harbor Hotel. Thanks.

I recommend the Watertable inside the renaissance hotel the food is top notch and it has a specular view of the Inner Harbor at night that can't be beat. I had dinner here about 2 years ago and the food was spot on .

I'd go to B&O American Brasserie. Moderate prices, outstanding food, and probably the best cocktails in town.

I agree with you Jon. The Brasserie offers quality fare at reasonable prices---which the OP suggested was a factor in choosing a dining establishment. The walking distance is attainable without effort.

Brewer's Art is another option--not withing walking distance, but a short cab ride and the pricing is quite reasonable. If beer is a consideration, then this is the PLACE.

As a suggestion to the OP, make sure you bundle up against the cold weather. But, hey, you are from New York. You should know that December can be a bit nippy weather-wise.

In addition, take a taxi and head over to Fells Point or Canton area, Many options are available. I like Mezze in Fells Point. Jack's in Canton (where I've haven't had the pleasure of dining there as yet,) comes with many recommendations from Hounds. In any event, welcome to :Bawlmore." FoiGras

+1 for B&O. Went there two weeks ago, was quiet, not too expensive, and everything we had was delicious. Make sure you get the caramel tart for dessert.

Brewer's Art has fabulous beer, I never got into their food. It's been a couple years since I ate there. Maybe they've picked up their game, but they're well-worth a visit just for the beer.

there are so many great eats in Both Little Italy and Fells Point... both have lots of great places some of them you cant judge by their exterior but if nothing there suits you there are lots of great little places on Charles street. I moved away from Charm City recently but check with the concierge at the hotel... but Little Italy is walking distance and Fells is only a VERY short cab ride

Not much around your hotel, assuming you're staying at the Marriott Inner Harbor and not the Waterfront. But a short cab ride away (or about a 12-block walk east on Pratt Street then right) are numerous places in the Harbor East neighborhood. Here are two I recommend.

If you're a solo diner, both have very welcoming bars at which you can eat and drink.
