WERES A GOOD PLACEFOR SPAGEHTTI AND MEATBALLS AUTHENTIC STYLE
LOOKING FOR A REALLY GOOD ITALIAN PLACE FOR PASTA , IN DOWNTOWN AREA?
This was my quest last year, and I failed to find anything satisfactory. I tried Cranberries on Parliament Street which has a Tuesday special of S+M, but they provide meatballs out of a bag from the freezer, and not a good brand! Tried a couple of ChowHound recommendations but nothing really stood out. There is an Italian eatery on the Danforth that was recommended. They actually make the meatballs, but the parent/owners were on holiday and the kids provided such abysmal service, it was very off putting. Good luck in yoiur search, I hope you find something new.
Heh, it does hurt the eyeballs.
I believe Danybear is referring to Quattro 4 Ragazze on the Danforth. Family-run resto (father in the kitchen, wife and daughters front of house). Although there have been quite a few negative reviews on the site, mostly service-related, I still love this place. They also serve a risotto that I crave every few months.
