Help for my 40th!!! Need outdoor fairy lights and great grub

I am envisioning an outdoor setting with twinkling lights and small plates.
I seem to recall the twinkling lights and outdoor settting w/ Little Door, but was thinking more of a Venice/Westside Location. Joe's is a consideration as is Gjelina. Any other good suggestions?
Thanks so much

Michael's has a beautiful patio. Not sure about the twinkling lights, but it is very romantic. Funny, I celebrated my 40th b'day there.

You could try Wilshire - not sure about the twinkling lights but there are flickering fireplaces on their outdoor patio! Not going to get small plates there though....

The outdoor patio and twinkly lights are wonderful at Wilshire. The food is not. When Mme Zoe and I ate there with a friend a few months ago, we left hungry. Tiny portions including the 'starch' which was accompanying. Too bad because this place had a lot of promise when it first opened.
